If you are coming into Narrabri from Moree, follow the Highway right through town. As you are about to leave Narrabri, you will come to a roundabout. Turn right into Mooloobar St and you can't miss us! If you are coming from Gunnedah or Coonabarabran, follow the signs to Narrabri. As you come into town there are two roundabouts with a railway line in between. At the second roundabout turn left into Mooloobar St. See you soon!

Narrabri is a town of 7,000 people located on the mighty Namoi River 570 km north-west of Sydney. It is located on the Newell Highway which links Brisbane with the southern capitals.
Although we are a long way from the nearest beach, the climate here is better than the Gold Coast! It is quite dry mostly (except when we have floods), with long summers and very short and relatively mild winters. When the heat gets to you, the Mount Kaputar National Park is just an hour's drive away. Not only can you see up to a distance of 100 km all around, the temperature is 10 degrees C less than on the plains and the kangaroos are extremely friendly.
The main industries are wheat, cotton, sunflowers, and other mixed farming. There are research centres in Cotton and Wheat production as well as the Australia National Telescope, a radio telescope facility just out of town.
