Fathers- Upstairs Cell
1 Living “Upstairs”
Welcome (Ice Breaker)
What is the most adventurous climb you have attempted?
Worship
Word
1. Homework. Did everyone read Hebrews 1-7? What stood out in these chapters? Was there anything you did not understand?
2. Have there been opportunities to talk to people about Jesus?
3. Are there any thoughts on last week's session about the State of the War?
4. Read John 3:1-21. John's gospel is very emphatic about the realm of the spirit (God-led life) and the realm of the flesh (man-led life), drawing contrasts between the two. What terms or symbols are used here to talk about the flesh world? What terms talk about the spirit world?
5. In your daily life are you more aware of the flesh world or the spirit world? What factors make it easier to focus on the spirit world?
6. What regular activities help you to re-focus?
7. As a group we have a choice about where we focus. What is the difference in the life of the group between focussing “above” or “below”?
8. What needs to change to make us the Spirit- baptised, Christ-enabled group that God wants us to be?
9. Pray for the people on the outreach list.

5.This is talking about corporate use of gifts- i.e. church and cell. Why are the speaking gifts of tongues and prophecy given?
6. Just thinking of our cell group, what would our meetings look like?
7. What stops this from happening?
8. What needs to change so that this group becomes all that it should be in Christ?
9. What are some things that we all should be doing to make this happen?
10. In the light of our discussion, what will be different for you in the next week?
11. Pray for each other and the people on the outreach list. (Appoint someone to start)

The trip to Sawn Rocks was good. Let's start thinking of our next attempt. We need to be seriously praying for our unsaved friends and for real opportunities to talk about Jesus.

3 Ministry in the Holy Spirit
Welcome (Ice Breaker)
If God was restricted to one place in Australia, where does it feel like He is right now?
Word
1. Homework. Did everyone read Revelation 1-7? What stood out in these chapters? Was there anything you did not understand?
2. Have there been opportunities to talk to people about Jesus?
3. Are there any thoughts on last week's session about a Spirit-filled cell?
4. Read 1 Corinthians 14. (Revision of last week) This is talking about corporate use of gifts- i.e. church and cell. Why are the speaking gifts of tongues and prophecy given?
5. We are going to have a longer worship time tonight. It is time to reach out to God and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us. There should be prophecies, tongues, prayer and miracles coming through. At the end of the Worship time, pray for one another.
